We have been testing guiding lately. (We had a long break while we worked on the test calibration for polishing of a new secondary, but that’s solved and we’re able to operate again with the old secondary.)

Here are two images that show what we found: that guiding is working really well. Especially so in good seeing; we had sub-arcsecond seeing on two recent nights.

Here is a color image of the Crab Nebula (M1), with four 10-minute images through the Clear filter, and two each 10-minute images with the red, green, and blue filters.
